Robinson Reserve / Moreland Council / Reconciliation Victoria
Recognise is the Australian national campaign to promote the Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Australian Constitution. It is a part of Reconciliation Australia.
Robinson Reserve in conjunction with Moreland City Council & Reconciliation Victoria commissioned me to design artwork & an accompanying poster to help announce & promote their Moreland Community Concert. The community concert is a fantastic grass roots music event in support of the campaign to recognise Aboriginal people in the Australian Constitution.
The artwork was designed with inspiration & influences originating in classic indigenous line work & dot forms. To allow the final graphic maximum visual volume, the layout & design of the poster was intentionally kept at a reduced level. Options of the artwork have been included in this project space to showcase progression & variety.
*The final poster version incorporated the portraits of headline artist as well as additional copy. For the purpose of this portfolio however, only select design are shown*
